How are overuse injuries diagnosed?

Generally, overuse injuries are diagnosed with an adequate history and physical exam along with some x-rays. That's generally done in the office. Occasionally if you don't respond to conservative treatments like stretching and rehab programs and rest, sometimes more advanced imaging like an MRI or a CAT scan or a musculoskeletal ultrasound can help in diagnosis.
