What is an overuse injury?

An overuse injury is any type of muscle, tendon, bone or joint injury such as tendinitis or a stress fracture that's caused by repetitive trauma. Most commonly, we think of this with sports or recreational activities when you're doing the same things over and over and maybe over-training, but it can also be associated with workplace-type injuries where you're doing repetitive motions over and over at work.
