There are three main types of skin cancer that we see. Number one would be basal cell carcinomas. Second one would be Squamous cell carcinomas. The third one would be a melanoma. There are other types of skin cancer which are much more rare, but those three are the most common. Skin cancer such as melanoma can be life threatening. They have the potential to spread to other organs and even cause death. Skin cancers such as basal cell carcinoma are rarely ever fatal or spread to other places but can be locally invasive and cause large surgeries, same thing with Squamous cell carcinomas, although Squamous cell carcinomas in rare cases can spread to other places.
