Scholarships
Our annual scholarship programs are an excellent example of how we build the health of our communities by supporting the next generation of health care workers. These scholarships help our community by developing skilled men and women who are eager to give of themselves to help the community, one person at a time.
Over the years, our scholarship programs have provided hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarship aid to future physicians, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, technologists, and other professionals.
What Your Dollars Can Provide
Every dollar you give makes a difference in the lives of our community members. Here are some examples from the Samaritan Homeless Clinic that show how your gift goes to help those in need:
- $15 buys a bag of bus tokens to be used for appointments
- $60 pays the average prescription costs per visit
- $65 provides a diabetic eye exam
- $320 provides the annual dental care for one patient
- $391 provides annual medical care for one patient
- $750 provides complete annual care for one patient
You’re also helping to heal the spirits of people in our community: $175 to Camp Samaritan sends a cancer survivor and a loved one to a healing retreat.
