PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency

The PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency conducted by Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio has an accreditation candidate status with ASHP. The Critical Care Residency Program will give you the additional experience, confidence, and competence to prepare you for a successful career in advanced pharmaceutical practice.

Purpose

PGY2 residency programs build upon Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and PGY1 pharmacy residency training to develop pharmacist practitioners with knowledge, skills, and abilities as defined in the educational competency areas, goals, and objectives for advanced practice areas. Residents who successfully complete the PGY2 residency program are prepared for advanced patient care or other specialized positions, and board certification.

The PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency is a new program with anticipated accreditation. Once our accreditation is achieved, all past residents in the program will be considered to have completed an ASHP residency.
