Hospital Parking

Atrium Medical Center

All Atrium parking is free. Parking is located at the south entrance off Market Avenue, which becomes Medical Center Drive. The lots closest to the main entrance to the hospital are lots A and B. Parking for the Professional Building is in lots C and D.

Parking/Wheelchair Assistance

Free parking/wheelchair assistance for patients and visitors is available at Atrium's main entrance Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Miami Valley Hospital

Miami Valley Hospital has several conveniently located parking garages.

  • Main Visitor Garage: Access the garage by following Wyoming St. until it becomes Colby Ln. which ends directly at the garage entrance. An enclosed walkway provides access to Berry Women’s Center and continues to the main hospital for indoor access.
  • Apple Street Garage: The entrance is located on Apple St. and features a walkway for convenient access to the main hospital.
  • Emergency Trauma Center and Surgery Center Garage: The entrance is located on Wyoming St. near Main St.

Note: The surface parking lot between the Apple St. Garage and Main St. is privately owned.

Parking Costs

Parking at Miami Valley Hospital garages is managed through Metropolis, our parking payment platform.

Payment is due before or as you leave* the garage. To avoid delays at the exit gate, payment arrangements should be completed through the Metropolis app before exiting.

  • Emergency Trauma Center and Surgery Center: $10.99 per entry/exit
  • Main Visitor Garage and Apple St. Garage: $5.99 per entry/exit

Pre-booking is strongly encouraged.

* Please note: Leaving the garage without paying will result in a fine from Metropolis that exceeds the parking rates listed above.

Payment Options

Daily Visitor Parking

Visitors using hospital parking garages must pay through Metropolis by scanning a QR code located on signage in each parking area.

First-time visitors will need to create an account that links a major credit or debit card to their vehicle’s license plate. The system recognizes the vehicle upon entry and automatically charges the card when exiting. Parking fees apply to each entry/exit.

Follow these four simple steps:

  1. Scan the QR code and enter your mobile phone number.
  2. Receive a text message from Metropolis containing a 6-digit verification code.
  3. Enter the verification code.
  4. Create your account by entering your name, email, license plate number and payment information.

Returning visitors simply drive in and out. Their payment method will be charged automatically.

Pre-Book Parking

If you plan to visit the hospital for multiple days or expect to enter and exit several times each day, pre-booking parking through Metropolis is recommended.

When pre-booking, you will provide:

  • Entry and exit dates and times
  • License plate number
  • Payment information

Benefits include:

  • Unlimited entries and exits during your reservation period
  • Available exclusively for the Main Visitor Garage

Long-Stay Parking

Visitors who expect to park for 10 days or more may purchase a long-stay parking pass through the Miami Valley Hospital Parking Office.

  • Sold in 10-day increments only
  • Unlimited entries and exits each day

  • Office Hours: 
    • Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
    • Closed daily from noon to 1 p.m. 

Parking Validation

Parking validation may be available for patients or a patient’s designated driver.

Emergency Trauma Center and Surgery Center Parking

  • Patients or their drivers should take a photo of the vehicle’s license plate so surgery check-in staff can validate parking. No additional action is required when leaving the garage.

  • When checking in for your appointment or service, please ask whether parking validation is available.

Special Services

Wheelchair Assistance

If you or your visitor has difficulty walking to or from the garage, use one of the telephones located in the garage elevator lobby to request wheelchair assistance.

Security Escort Service

Security escorts are available upon request. To arrange assistance, use a telephone located in the garage elevator lobby or speak with an information desk representative.

Upper Valley Medical Center

For the convenience of patients, their families, and visitors, medical center employees are asked to park only in specially designated areas. Parking designations include: 

Lot A: Employees
Lot B: Visitors
Lot C: Visitors, medical office staff in the Physician Office Building
Lot D: Maternity patients, families, visitors, medical staff, employees

Other specialty parking areas are designated with appropriate signage. Parking stickers/tags, which are to be displayed in vehicles, are issued to all medical center employees, physicians, medical office staffs, and volunteers.
