Why Premier Health
Our goal is to provide individualized care to you and your family, whether you need burn or wound care.
Why Choose Our Burn Care
Our multidisciplinary team at the Miami Valley Hospital Regional Adult Burn Center manages
burns of any severity, and is the Dayton region’s only adult burn center. We treat even the most severe burns in a highly specialized unit that provides all levels of care, and offer our patients:
- Emergency access to care. Located inside Miami Valley Hospital, the burn center has the full support of the region's only Level I trauma center and emergency department.
- Surgeons and medical imaging always available to handle the most critical cases.
- Dedicated treatment team throughout your recovery. You’ll have a consistent and dedicated team of physicians, nurses, and therapists treat you throughout your recovery.
- Close to home. We’re located in the center of the Dayton region. Our same-day burn clinic shares resources with the inpatient unit, providing a high level of outpatient care.
- Extensive network of physicians from the Premier Health network of physicians. Within the network are regional leaders in burn care. Many of our physicians have national reputations for their research and excellent care.
- Innovation with clinical research and advanced technologies and facilities. You’ll be treated with burn care technologies, including bioengineered skin substitutes, in an advanced care facility. Members of our multidisciplinary team are active in developing new care methods and establishing best practices for burn care. Many team members have presented research and educational topics at regional and national burn care meetings. We also have active research programs in conjunction with Wright State University.
Why Choose Our Wound Care
Successful treatment of difficult wounds requires an assessment and treatment of the entire patient — not just the wound. Our goal is to treat chronic wounds by building strong relationships with patients and their families, correct contributing
factors such as controlling infection, and enhance the medical and nutritional status of our patients.
Premier Health has taken a leading role addressing the growing need for quality wound care in communities across Southwest Ohio. Our physician-led, multidisciplinary approach to wound care utilizes a variety of advanced technologies, clinical therapies,
and evidence-based wound care treatment options. We offer four locations, so wound care is never too far away.
Our wound care center and hyperbaric services have been recognized with national awards for clinical excellence.
