In addition to our doctors, we have a team of physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses who provide excellent, coordinated care across all Premier Health facilities.
Research
Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and Premier Health have partnered to form the Wright State University (WSU) & Premier Health Neuroscience Institute. The institute conducts research and then works to bring you the latest advances in treatment. Through translational neuroscience (using research discoveries for clinical applications), We bring new drugs, devices and other treatments quickly from the research lab to our patients. You benefit sooner from what our scientists learn about the treatment of neurologic conditions and help us to lead the way in the fight against neurological disease.
CNSI combines the Dayton region’s strongest biomedical research institution with the clinical resources of the region’s leading hospital system. We provide long-term clinical trials and continuing cellular and molecular research to make breakthroughs in the treatment of neurologic conditions. Our clinical and research institute here in Southwestern Ohio improves neurologic care for the entire Dayton community.
About the WSU & Premier Health Alliance
The spirit of collaboration is at the heart of the Premier Health philosophy and extends to our special partnership with Wright State University (WSU).
Premier Health has made a major investment ($4.35 million over five years) to create a new department of neurology within the WSU Boonshoft School of Medicine. Our investment includes long-term support for clinical neurologists and for university-based neuroscientists who perform critical research into stroke and movement disorders.
CNSI proudly partners with Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine's Department of Neurology in a comprehensive residency program. This partnership lends support to our specialists and allows residents to gain direct clinical experience in various aspects of the practice. Learn more about the resident program.
Our neuroscience physicians participate in lectures and other teaching opportunities to expand students’ interest in the neuroscience field. We also hold the annual Neuroscience Institute Symposium which welcomes a wide array of researchers and clinicians to focus on selected topics in translational neuroscience.
