Dear Community Partner
Every year, Premier Health recognizes the many partnerships that we share with local organizations, leaders, and citizens. These collaborations reinforce our mission to improve the health of the communities we serve and allow us to identify and provide essential community benefit programs where they are needed most in our region.
Last year tested our resilience more than we ever thought possible, and while this year may not have brought with it the level of relief we may have hoped for, our commitment to you remained steadfast.
Our annual Community Impact Report shares our support of outreach and partnerships that improve lives and make a difference for local residents. In order to provide a complete picture for a full year, the data we share is for the previous year’s activity. For 2020, Premier Health invested more than $199 million in community benefits, including more than $149 million in free care and other unpaid services to low-income families. These projects and services are a direct reflection of the dedication of our community partners, as well as our physicians, staff, and volunteers.
This year’s report provides a few examples of our mission at work in Southwest Ohio. I invite you to read how Premier Health is addressing injustices that negatively affect the health and well-being of people of color; heightening awareness of the COVID-19 vaccine’s safety and effectiveness in underserved communities; reducing hospital readmissions with in-home care; helping to alleviate socioeconomic disparities in our region; and collaborating to preserve a legacy of mission-driven community service.
As always, we are grateful for the continued support of the communities we serve. If you have any questions about the information shared in this report, or any other community benefit information for Premier Health, please contact Paula Thompson, president and CEO, Fidelity Health Care, at rjnarayan@premierhealth.com or (937) 208-7953(937) 208-7953.
