When an illness or injury interrupts your life, Premier Health’s rehabilitation team is ready to help. Our goal is to get you back to the things that matter most, whether that be planting a garden, playing lacrosse, or going to church. Our comprehensive services are robust, yet personalized to meet your specific needs. No matter your stage of injury or illness, Premier Health has rehabilitation services to help you recover and get back to your goals.
Hospital Rehabilitation Services
While you’re just getting back on your feet from an injury or illness, our team of acute care physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists will provide the support treatments you need while staying with us in the hospital.
Inpatient Rehabilitation Program
If your injury or illness requires further, more comprehensive rehabilitation services, we have skilled inpatient rehabilitation facilities that can provide all rehabilitation disciplines twice per day. Services are available at Atrium Medical Center, Upper Valley Medical Center, and the Rehabilitation Institute of Ohio, a joint venture between Premier Health and Encompass Health.
Outpatient Physical Therapy and Specialized Rehabilitation Programs
Premier Health has over 20 locations across the region offering outpatient physical therapy. Our team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists offer numerous specialized rehabilitation programs and specialty services for all types of injuries that will help you reach your goals as quickly as possible.
Our knowledgeable, caring professionals can guide you through a program that's right for you to increase strength, improve range of motion, relieve pain, and restore function.
Getting Back to Your Life
Whether you’re hospitalized or recovering at home, our certified team of rehabilitation therapists are prepared to help you. We have the knowledge, technology, and tools to restore movement, improve function, enhance independence, and maximize your quality of life.
And when your rehabilitation ends, you (and when appropriate, your family or caregiver) will have the skills and the knowledge to continue to improve and function at your best. That’s because we believe education should be central to effective rehabilitation.
A Physician Order Is Not Required
The state of Ohio Physical Therapy Practice Act and Premier Health both allow patients to be seen via Direct Access. This means no physician order is required. However, some insurance companies require a physician order, so check with your insurance plan or ask our team to assist you.
